It’s week 36 of our 40-week count down on the Road to Paris (UN Climate Summit)
Today’s Monday Action: Let Congressman McGovern Hear From You!
Call his Northampton office: 413-341-8700 or Washington DC office: (202) 225-6101
and/or email his office: Contact
Here’s a simple message:
“Dear Congressman McGovern,
I am deeply concerned about climate change.
As a supporter of Mothers Out Front I’m calling to thank you for your opposition to the proposed Tennessee Gas pipeline, for voting no on the Keystone XL Pipeline Act (HR3), and for voting no on the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act (HR161-114). I support you to continue to take a strong stance on Climate Change. Thank you!”
(mentioning your affiliation with Mothers Out Front is optional)
Here is a quote from Congressman McGovern about KXL:
Let me be clear: I believe that this pipeline is irresponsible. The proposed route was made with little consideration for the environment, cutting through land that has been permanently conserved by multigenerational farmers, individual landowners, land trusts, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The majority of this land has been protected with tax dollars and donations.”
