Subject: Be Bold On Climate!
Oppose the Pipelines, Raise Solar Caps, Promote Renewable Energy and Storage.

Dear Representative Story,

Please consider coming to the Greenfield Middle School this Wednesday, July 29th at 5:15 for a community rally and the FERC scoping meeting where many local authorities will give testimony about why the Kinder Morgan pipeline must not be approved!

And timing is critical on raising the net metering cap. With Paris only 18 weeks away, time is running out for MA to lead the nation to a powerful agreement. Unleashing large solar installations right now will show that MA will do its part to meet the U.S. goals for emission reduction. If the House waits until fall to act, we lose a month of the ripple effect of MA leadership on other states.

Given the recent passage of Senate bill S1973 to lift the solar net metering cap to 1600 megawatts of power, commensurate with the current statewide goal for electricity generated by solar, we need you and all your colleagues in the state house to support this bill!

I am urgently concerned about climate change. This is the defining issue on which future generations will judge us. Therefore I urge you to be bold in fighting for real solutions to stop climate change. We look to you for your leadership.

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME
YOUR TOWN AND STATE

Well done! See you next week.
And remember, friends don’t let friends ignore climate change. Forward Monday Actions today!

Still here? Are you looking for an in-person action? Here are two:

1) Ask 5 people to join you in doing Monday Actions. Get them ready to start on Monday, August 10, when the next 8-week Monday Action cycle begins with another message to President Obama. If they have questions, you may find the FAQ useful. You will have made a Monday Action Circle!

2) Join us on Wednesday July 29  for a family fun rally on the lawn of the Greenfield Middle School (195 Federal St., Greenfield, MA.). Bring your children and a picnic, listen to inspiring planet-friendly live music and a few short passionate presentations, and – if you like – stay for the FERC hearing where we hope to definitively stop the proposed MA pipeline.

Visit our Mothers Out Front webpage for details about other ways to join us in person and online!
