Cutting to the Chase

Monday Actions cut to the chase:

Dear President Obama,

Thank you very much for your leadership in Paris! Now at last there is no more debate: The world agrees that climate change is the greatest threat facing us all. We need you to do all you can to get us a true price on carbon. Renewables must cost less than fossil fuels.

I vote for a livable future, and that future must be carbon-neutral. I am not going away: I will repeat this ask until there is a true price on carbon.

NOTE: Do you feel like you are writing the same message over and over again? You’re right. You are: Monday Actions are about filling elected officials inboxes with the message: “Fix climate change now.”

They need to hear from us, and they need to know that we are not going away. Whether you cut and paste, pour out your heart, have new details, call or write- your voice gets tallied every time you contact your officials. So keep up the great work and ask friends to join. We are all volunteer with zero budget, but we are working on linking to a counter to show how many people do Monday Actions. Stay tuned…

Thank you for making 2015 a watershed year for the climate,

  1. RENEWABLES DO COST LESS…HOWEVER THEIR IS ONLY SO MUCH available. SUPPORT MAYBEE A FEW MILLION “very hard” WORKING PEOPLE. (Solar PV and the electrical Grid is resource expensive nonsense.) You have to consider a lot more than money(Makes trade easy; over-simplifies a complex situation.          WE ARE LONG PAST THE POINT OF NO RETURN…. WE EITHER EMBRACE THE Nuclear Age or reside ourselves to short life without leaving a geologic mark for little more then a mass extinction. Fade quickly into forgotten insignificance A Mans Greatest threat is Mankind. We are playing God with the planetary biological systems. (We have very little understanding of that with which we play). This is what has to be addressed. Time for faith (most all say the chosen, members of this faith, will live the masses will die. We give you life eternal if you follow our rules?) has passed. Very few understand the whole and greed rather than care drives us to be Great. Most of us spend our lives following the carrot.        We all seem to agree; if we continue as is this civilization is Doomed!!!! Nuclear age was  plan for all. Now we deep into decline with on end in sight and attempting to tell ourselves otherwise. Zombies using fossil resources (Millions of years of earths storage every year) until they run out.                        John
