Dear Governor,
I am urgently concerned about climate change. All future children are depending on us to leave them a livable world.

So far this year, every single month has shattered a global heat record. We are at war and we need to win like we won WWII. Now more than ever we need our leaders to do everything possible to prevent the worst impacts from global warming. You, Governor, have the power to dramatically cut carbon pollution from the biggest source in the U.S. — power plants — and shift to a renewable energy future. Governor, our state can be a leader in using conservation to meet demand. We urge you to promote policies to bring robust conservation programs, such as demand response, to the entire state.

Can you tell me why we don’t have fleets of hydrogen cars like California and fueling stations with H2 made from renewable sources like those in Munich, Germany? We need to lead! Our children’s and our climate’s health depend on you. Thank you for doing more than you ever thought possible. There is not a moment to lose. Everything is at stake and we must win this war.

Sincerely,

  1.     Why aren’t we setting up charging stations both electric(uses carbon fueled plants), hydrogen and other alternatives; such a inertial drives in a vacuum? Swap out fuel cells fueled by solar arrays. Demand recyclable, high quality and long life products. Solar and wind using the grid as backup? We still need the existing power plants; therefore minimal to no savings anywhere in the big picture. MIT is collecting billions to do what?     It has been suggested that railroad cars be set up to generate hydrogen and oxygen on down hill sections of a trip west. Many more railroad cars going east than west (mostly empty).                          John Boothroyd
